LaCandis Reid joins RISE Coleman Park Team as Culture Yard Coordinator

RISE Coleman is pleased to welcome LaCandis Reid to our community. Reid will serve as the new Culture Yard Coordinator starting May 2026.

Reid is a visionary leader, community advocate, certified life coach, best-selling author, and Founder of Girls With Scars Inc. A proud Coleman Park resident and active member of RISE Coleman Park’s Resident Advisory Committee (RAC), Reid brings both professional expertise and lived experience to this role. Her authentic voice, inspiring leadership, and deep connection to the community reflect her passion for building strong neighborhoods and empowering individuals and families to thrive.

The Culture Yard will offer Coleman Park residents a dedicated space for social connection, will serve as a platform for civic engagement, and will support community wellness with resources and needed programming. The Culture Yard Coordinator plays a vital role in advancing RISE Coleman Park’s mission by connecting families to early learning, behavioral health, economic opportunity, and community wellness resources year-round.
