This month‘s spotlight is on the Coleman Park community for the collaborative efforts of its residents and key stakeholders, including Northend Rise and Quantum Foundation's Palm Beach Venture Philanthropy. On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, these organizations, along with the residents, held a placemaking workshop to identify projects and programs that will benefit the Coleman Park area. This workshop built upon previous discussions focused on revitalizing the neighborhood through the implementation and updating of the Neighborhood Improvements Plan, created in 2009.

A special thank you to Upendo Shabazz and Raphael Clemente, the Executive Directors of Northend Rise and Palm Beach Venture Philanthropy, respectively for their unwavering work to improve Coleman. Finally, I extend my gratitude to the residents for consistently voicing their desires and needs to restore their neighborhood to its former glory and beyond.
